Not medical advice

The content on Gluten Free Recipes (gfcooking.food) — including all recipes, articles, tips, and guides — is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not intended to be, and should not be taken as, medical or nutritional advice.

If you have been diagnosed with celiac disease, non-celiac gluten sensitivity, wheat allergy, or any other health condition that requires a strict diet, you should consult a qualified healthcare provider — such as a registered dietitian or gastroenterologist — before making changes to your diet based on anything you read here.

Nothing on this site creates a doctor-patient relationship or replaces advice from a medical professional who knows your individual health circumstances.

Always verify ingredient labels

This is the most important safety step for anyone eating gluten-free.

Food manufacturers change their recipes, supplier ingredients, and manufacturing processes without notice. A product that was gluten-free last month may contain gluten today, or may now be made in a facility that also processes wheat. The only way to know whether a specific product is safe is to read the label at the time of purchase.

Before using any ingredient listed in our recipes, you must:

  • Check the label for gluten-containing grains (wheat, barley, rye, and, in some countries, oats).
  • Look for advisory statements such as "may contain wheat" or "made in a facility that processes wheat."
  • Check for certified gluten-free logos from third-party certification bodies if you require very low gluten thresholds (such as GFFS, GFCO, or NSF).
  • Contact the manufacturer directly if you are unsure about a product's safety.

We cannot guarantee that any specific brand or product available in your region is safe for your individual situation.

Cross-contamination risk

Even ingredients that are naturally gluten-free can become contaminated with gluten during growing, transportation, milling, or manufacturing. Common examples include oats, spices, nuts, seeds, and grains such as rice or corn.

Cross-contamination can also occur in your own kitchen if you share surfaces, utensils, cookware, or appliances with gluten-containing foods. If you have celiac disease or a severe gluten intolerance, dedicated gluten-free cooking equipment and strict kitchen practices are essential.

Our recipes cannot account for the specific conditions of your kitchen or the manufacturing standards of products available in your area. You are responsible for managing cross-contamination risk in your own home.

Celiac disease

Celiac disease is an autoimmune condition. Even tiny amounts of gluten (as little as 20 parts per million in many jurisdictions) can trigger an immune response that damages the lining of the small intestine. The consequences can be serious even when no immediate symptoms are felt.

If you have celiac disease, we strongly encourage you to:

  • Work with a registered dietitian who specialises in celiac disease or gluten-free diets.
  • Use only products certified gluten-free to below 20 ppm (or to the threshold recommended by your healthcare provider).
  • Not rely solely on internet recipes, including ours, as your primary source of dietary guidance.

Recipes are adaptations

The recipes on this site are gluten-free adaptations of classic dishes or original creations. They have been developed and tested in a home kitchen setting. However:

  • We cannot guarantee results will be identical in your kitchen due to differences in ingredients, equipment, altitude, and technique.
  • Substitutions and adaptations do not guarantee that the final dish meets the same nutritional or safety standards as a dish prepared under controlled laboratory conditions.
  • We do not independently test the gluten content of every ingredient combination in every recipe.

Every recipe on this site should be treated as a starting point. You must independently verify that every ingredient you purchase is safe for your specific dietary needs.
